First-Generation Void Hunter Returns on the Zenless Zone Zero 2nd Anniversary

Zenless Zone Zero is celebrating its second anniversary in the upcoming 3.1 update "The Long Goodbye," releasing on July 29. Two new S-rank Agents will be released, the long-awaited first-generation Void Hunter Remielle Dan and Deputy Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department Sigrid, alongside them, Proxies will be receiving a free limited S-Rank Selector, new additions to the character shop, and many more exciting rewards.

The Proxies' story continues where it left off after their visit to Roscaelifer. Representatives from New Eridu's mayors gather on the island one after another, setting the stage for unexpected reunions with Truvia, the heiress of High Ambitions Corp, and a once close friend to the Proxies until a tragic incident drove them apart. Lindverne Sunbringer will be making her introduction to the proxies as they will formally meet with her. Elsewhere, Remielle Dan emerges once more into the center of the stage, and the mysterious Enchainer she once spoke of slowly begins to emerge from the shadows, hinting at an even greater threat waiting to unfold.

New Agents

Remielle Dan will be making her debut as the first Lumiflux Attribute Anomaly Agent. She's capable of synchronizing her damage output to the attribute of the next agent in the squad using her Attribute Flux mechanism, allowing her to exploit the weakness of enemies by matching her damage with her teammates' attributes. During combat, Remielle accumulates her special resources to enter the Phase Flow state, continuously providing buffs to the whole squad, and when resources are fully charged, she descends to trigger a powerful Assist Attack. The Lumiflux-exclusive reaction Refringe converts Anomaly Buildup into a high-burst final explosion.

Sigrid is an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. She can use different skills that enable her to enter the Aerial Patrol Spear Form, which allows her to use her hold Basic skill Converging Spear, which deals massive damage and grants her a massive boost to her Crit Rate. Sigrid offers a high skill playstyle that rewards efficiently utilizing her skills to unleash as many Converging Spears as possible.

Remielle will be arriving alongside the release of the new update, and her search signal will be available for its entirety. Sigrid will appear in the second half of the update, alongside a special rerun banner for the three Agents: Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, and Asaba Harumasa, who will make his first appearance since his initial release. Both Remielle and Sigrid will be releasing with brand new outfits commemorating their release.

Anniversary Rewards

As for the Anniversary rewards, Proxies will be receiving a free S-rank agent, which they can freely select from one of five limited S-Rank Agents — Jane, Soldier 0 - Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia, and their corresponding exclusive W-Engine. They can also receive two more mindscapes and W-engine overclock materials for Pyrois. Finally, login rewards total 1,600 Polychromes will be available, and two check-in events on both halves of the update will further give away an additional 10 pulls each for a total of 20.

Optimizations and Improvements

Other changes that will be introduced include custom search customization which will allow the proxies Proxies to select 6 S-Rank Agents from a pool of limited and standard S-Rank Agents which will include starting in 3.1 limited S-rank Agents Caeser, Zhu Yuan, and Yanagi, alongside their signiture W-engines. When a non-rate-up S-Rank Signal is obtained during a Signal Search, the signal will be from the selected pool, with each S-Rank Agent having an equal probability of being drawn. Beginner's Guide will replace the existing Proxy Trial, providing growth guidance that includes team composition recommendations and enhancement progression, which will help new players initiate their journey on a more stable footing. Limited event W-engines and Bangboos will also be available permanently in the shop for proxies who missed out on them.
