Yuri on ICE Heads to Theaters for 10th Anniversary
Tickets for Yuri!!! On ICE anniversary screening are now on sale. The beloved anime series is celebrating the 10th anniversary with the first five episodes screening in select theatres on Monday, October 19 at 7 PM (local time) in the U.S. and Canada as part of Crunchyroll’s monthly Anime Nights theatrical program.
MAPPA's original anime series is admired by critics, anime fans, and professional figure skaters. It is remembered as an absolute force: as soon as it was originally released in 2016, it created a very strong fandom, which persists to this day, with professional skaters performing the theme song at the Olympics in 2018, sweeping the inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2017, and even a US anime convention invited the director, co-creator, and animation director as major guests after it debuted in 2017.
Yuri!!! On ICE anime has one season consisting of 12 episodes. The project was supposed to continue with a movie project, titled ICE ADOLESCENCE, and announced in 2017. However, in 2024, the movie was canceled.
Synopsis:
