Pokémon Legends: Z-A Release Date Announced

The Pokémon Company announced that their upcoming game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is coming on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Pre-orders for the game will commence on the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2, Thursday, June 5, 2025.

The game will be available on both Switch consoles, with the further option of being able to upgrade your Switch cartridge via an additional fee for Switch 2. These upgrade packs are set to be available through the Nintendo eShop, and currently, there has been no confirmation on the cost.

In addition, they have revealed the cover art featuring the playable trainers and a few fan-favourite Pokémon battling in Lumiose City. Alongside the newly released cover image, The Pokémon Center will also be selling new merchandise ahead of the game's release, featuring some of the Mega evolutions on many different types of apparel and accessories.

Although no further features or mechanics of the upcoming game have been revealed since the trailer drop in February, the next Pokémon Presents is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22. As always, it will be hosted on the official Pokémon YouTube Channel.
