Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi Reveals Theme Song by Mori Calliope in New Trailer
The upcoming Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi movie revealed a new trailer and a theme song by Mori Calliope and Kevin Penkin, who also did the music for the adaptation. "Chain of the Abyss" can be heard in the new trailer:

Sumire Morohoshi and Takanori Hoshino are joining the cast as Tepaste and Cravagli. Cravagli is a Black Whistle explorer who excels at solo expeditions, and Tepaste was a part of his expedition before they got separated. The Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi (Awakening Mystery) movie premieres on October 23 in Japan.

The returning Made in Abyss main cast includes:
- Miyu Tomita as Riko
- Mariya Ise as Reg
- Shiori Izawa as Nanachi
- Misaki Kuno as Faputa
Kinema Citrus is returning to animate, with Masayuki Kojima as the director. Hideyuki Kurata is doing the series composition. Kazuchika Kise (Production I.G) and Yuka Kuroda are the character designers. The second season of the anime ended in January 2023 with a sequel announcement. At the time, the format was not specified.
The anime adapts the manga by Akihito Tsukushi.
