Genshin Impact Luna VII Launches May 20, Brings Three New Playable Characters, Return to Sumeru

Genshin Impact hosted its traditional new version stream, showcasing the upcoming Luna VII "Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana" update and giving players a new look at Snezhnaya. Travelers are headed back to Sumeru to face off against the Fatui, and in addition to a formidable opponent from Traveler's past, we'll also get to meet Pantalone. The update launches on May 20.

"Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana" was highlighted in the Travail trailer, published six years ago, under the Sumeru chapter.

Three new characters are coming in Luna VII:

Nicole, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst wielder who provides a shield and attack buff to the party, Mage "N," the Voiceless Angel
Lohen, a 5-star Cryo Polearm wielder and Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius' Fifth Company
Prune, 4-star Anemo Catalyst wielder, the "Witch Hunter"

Nicole and Prune are coming in the first half of the update, alongside Durin's rerun, while Lohen will make his debut in the second half with Mavuika. Nicole and Lohen are also Hexerei characters.

Completing the Archon Quest will grant a limited-time reward featuring Nicole's ascension materials. Lohen's quest will do the same for him, while also telling a story about the history of the Knights of Favonius.

The update will also open the interior of the Witch's Lodge in Nicole's Meeting Point: The Witch's Garden for the first time, with new rooms, stories, and hidden rewards unlocking each week. Prune will tie in with this quest, since she is a self-proclaimed witch hunter (after a witch with a hollowed-out, pointy hat took something dear from her). Prune has a passive talent that, when crafting talent books, gives her a chance to provide players with additional materials of the same quality and region. Nicole also has a unique passive talent: when she is not in combat, her charged attack summons Seelies to help guide you to treasures, as long as you have the regional Treasure Compass equipped.

Two new artifact sets are also coming:

A new limited-time event centered on Klee's Little Hexenzirkel will invite players to take part in a variety of fun mini-games alongside Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and its newest member, Prune. Players can obtain a range of rewards, including the exclusive weapon appearance "Super Awesome Magic Key."

Flins and Lauma are coming to TCG. Myriad Melodies is also getting new tracks. To Temper Thyself and the Journey Far will now have rewards to claim past the eight-week mark by unlocking the "Tempered in Practice," where they can earn Primogems and other rewards by continuing to complete the weekly goals.

The special program for Luna VII also revealed the "Frozen Tundra Shrouded in Wind and Snow" Snezhnaya teaser. Traveler's new outfit is shown, alongside Snezhnaya's train, the Tsaritsa's Statue of the Seven, and a mysterious character wearing what appears to be an outfit inspired by Evenki culture:

Miliastra Wonderland will host a special sports festival for players to enjoy. In addition, Manekins can now perform actions across Teyvat, allowing players to capture even more memorable moments with the Kamera. Version Luna VII will also expand its suite of editing tools and assets.
