The previously announced World Trigger REBOOT project revealed a short video teasing the upcoming anime that will adapt the content already covered in the first season of the series.

The World Trigger anime by Toei Animation began in 2014. The first season had 73 episodes and was directed by Mitsuru Hongo (episodes 1-48) and Koji Ogawa (49-73). The second season aired in Winter 2021 and was followed by the third in the Fall of the same year. Due to delays, the third season ended in 2022. Morio Hatano was the director for both.
The main cast includes:
- Nao Tamura as Chika
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hyuse
- Yuichi Nakamura as Yuichi
- Tomo Muranaka as Yuma

The anime adapts the World Trigger manga written by Daisuke Ashihara, serialized first in the Weekly Shonen Jump and then in Jump SQ. magazine.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. It’s been four years since then.
The announcement was teased on December 1 on the anime's official X/Twitter.
