Nyaight of the Living Cat Anime Reveals Trailer, July 6 Premiere
Nyaight of the Living Cat anime revealed a new trailer, theme songs, and a July 6 premiere date. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime.
THE YELLOW MONKEY is performing the opening theme song “CAT CITY” and WANIMA is performing the ending theme song “Matatabi.”

The series is based on an ongoing manga series by author Hawkman and artist Mecha-Roots. It has been serialised on Comic Garden since 2020. The Nyaight of the Living Cat manga is available in English through the publisher Seven Seas.
The anime is set to premiere in July and will be available to stream worldwide (excluding Asia) on Crunchyroll. The platform describes the plot as follows:
Run! The adorable cats are here. In 20XX, the world is dominated by cats. A virus which turns anyone who touches a cat into a cat has spread into a worldwide nyandemic. Cats rub against people, turning them into cats. Can humanity fight their urge to pet cats to survive in this cat-ridden world?
