My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 Reveals Opening in New Trailer
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 revealed a new short trailer featuring the opening theme song "Ao to Kirameki" by Spira Spica. Spira Spica previously performed "Sansan Days," the opening theme song for the first season of the anime.
Hina Suguta and Shoya Ishige are returning to voice Marin and Gojo. CloverWorks is animating the second season of the popular series with Keisuke Shinohara as the director once again. Yoriko Tomita is in charge of the series composition and scripts. Kazumasa Ishida is the character designer and the chief animation director.
The popular manga series by Shinichi Fukuda began publication in 2018 and ended earlier this year. It was adapted into a 12-episode anime by studio CloverWorks in 2022. A live-action TV drama adaptation aired on MBS from October to December 2024.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot:
Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi--a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he's gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids--especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa--seem like they live in a completely different world.
That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 premieres in July 2025.
