Kyoto Animation Announces Two New Novels for June 26
Kyoto Animation's KA Esuma Bunko imprint is releasing two new novels on June 26: Aurora and Salmon and The Maestro Coming and Going. Synopses, covers, and character illustrations are now available.
Aurora and Salmon
Aurora and Salmon is written by Hiro Yuki (Sparks of Tomorrow) and illustrated by kukka, an illustrator known for their work on CD jackets, animated music videos, and more.

The story follows the days of a boy trapped by his desire for revenge as he spends his days in a village. One day, a girl with aurora wings tells him that detours are necessary, but to the boy, revenge was atonement, the path to happiness, and the very meaning of life. To him, her words seemed like nothing more than sophistry.
Before the boy stretches a grand fjord, warm meals, people living with all their might, selfless kindness, and the things he had overlooked until now. What will he feel as he sees them?

The Maestro Coming and Going
The Maestro Coming and Going is written by Torako (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions) and illustrated by shirabi (Myriad Colors Phantom World). The characters centered on the tomboy princess Meloco radiate a sense of motion, as if they could spring to life at any moment.

The story follows Hatsune, a sound creator summoned to a world where music becomes magic. Using her skills and sense, she thrives in another world, or at least she should. There is a princess who is probably faster than an ostrich at full speed, meaning around 70 kilometers per hour, a worldly pet cat, and even muscular male soldiers in bikini armor in the city. Is every otherworld like this?
A wildly peaceful and warm isekai music gag comedy begins, born from a project by Kyoto Animation staff and Torako’s fateful harmony.

Some of the novels published under KyoAni's KA Esuma Bunko imprint are Free!, Tamako Market, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and Violet Evergarden.
