Kagurabachi Manga to Get Anime Adaptation in April 2027

The Kagurabachi manga announced the highly anticipated anime adaptation. Studio CyPic (formerly Cybergames Pictures) will be in charge of the animation. The anime is slated to premiere in April 2027.

Taihi Kimura, winner of the 2025 Seiyu Awards for Best New Actor, has been cast as Chihiro Rokuhira. Tetsuya Takeuchi is directing the Kagurabachi anime, with Keigo Sasaki as the character designer.

The information was announced during the fifth Jump Press program, traditionally shared on the YouTube channel dedicated to all Shonen Jump magazines. The announcement was also teased on a mysterious website and X/Twitter profile (@E6B7B5E5A4A9).

Author Takeru Hokazono drew a commemorative illustration and commented on the announcement:

"You know the Rock Lee vs. Gaara fight in Naruto? The manga version
is great of course, but isn't the anime's version just incredibly cool? Well,
the very person who brought that scene to life is our director! Woo!
The staff is full of amazing people who really know the manga inside and
out. I can't wait to see how the animation turns out! Definitely a must
watch!"

About Kagurabachi

Kagurabachi is an action-dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 2023 and has compiled four volumes. The release of its first chapter was celebrated as the world's most viewed in its first week of publication on Manga Plus, surpassing the popularity ranking of Spy × Family, Dragon Ball Super, and Boruto on the platform. The series also won the Next Manga Award in 2024.
