The upcoming Call of the Night Season 2 revealed a new trailer featuring the opening theme song "Mirage" by Creepy Nuts. The anime premieres on July 4.

Call of the Night Season 2 will also have a panel at this year's Anime Expo. It will be held on Saturday, July 5, and features a sneak peek of Episode 2 (first half of episode) along with a post-screening Q&A.

Liden Films is animating Call of the Night Season 2 with Tomoyuki Itamura as the director, and Nao Miyoshi and Izumi Takizawa as assistant directors. Haruka Sagawa and Yoshiaki Dewa are returning as character designer and music composer, respectively.

The cast, which recently added Maaya Uchida as Haru Nanakusa, includes:

  • Gen Sato / Gabriel Regojo as Ko Yamori
  • Sora Amamiya / Natalie Rial as Nazuna Nanakusa
  • Yumiri Hanamori / Jade Kelly as Akira Asai
  • Haruka Tomatsu / Christina Kelly as Seri Kikyou
  • Eri Kitamura / Monica Rial as Niko Hirata
  • Shizuka Ito / Patricia Duran as Kabura Honda

The anime is adapting Kotoyama's original manga, named after the Creepy Nuts' "Yofukashi no Uta" song. The song was also used as the first season's ending theme, and Creepy Nuts also performed the opening "Daten." The manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 2019 to 2024. It ended with 200 chapters, which were compiled into 20 volumes.

HIDIVE is streaming the first season of the Call of the Night anime and describes the plot as:
Wracked by insomnia and wanderlust, Ko Yamori is driven onto the moonlit streets every night in an aimless search for something he can’t seem to name. His nightly ritual is marked by purposeless introspection — until he meets Nazuna, who might just be a vampire! Ko’s new companion could offer him dark gifts and a vampire’s immortality. But there are conditions that must be met before Ko can sink his teeth into vampirism, and he’ll have to discover just how far he’s willing to go to satisfy his desires before he can heed the Call of the Night!
