Krampus Compliance Arrives Just in Time for the Holiday Season in Zenless Zone Zero's Version 2.4 Update

As the festivities of the holiday season begin, Hoyoverse returns with a new special program, Zenless Zone Zero's 2.4 update "On the Precipice of the Abyss", which will be released on November 26, 2025.

The arrival of the new update brings with it a familiar faction in the Krampus Compliance Authority, of which two of its members, Banyue and Dailyn, whom we already got familiar with during the 2.3 update story quest, will be joining the playable character roster as limited S rank agents.

Following the events in Timesworn Hill from the previous story arc, where the Proxies managed to successfully avert the disaster that would've claimed the lives of many, and caught a glimpse of the figures of Sarah and Ye Shiyuan, implying the involvement of the latter with the Exaltists. His sister, Ye Shunguang, having now ascended as the new master of the Qingming Sword, will join the proxies to uncover the truth behind her brother's conspiracy and discover the new dangers stirring in the shadows.

As per usual for Zenless the new update will be bring with it two new playable S-rank agents will be joining as part of the Krampus Compliance Authority, first of which is Dailyn, an S-Rank Physical Stun agent and a customer service specialist who will bring her expertise to the battlefield to help stun the enemies faster, further more she can build up and consume special resources which upon stunning an enemy allows her teammates to turn their next chain attack into an Ultimate when they enter the field. Additionally, if she's paired with Attack or Rupture agents, the damage of Dailyn's EX Special Attacks, "Rock," "Scissors," and "Paper" will be increased based on the stats of her teammates. When Dailyn uses her EX Special Attack, she will accumulate her special resource Positive Reviews, which grants the Overwhelmingly Positive effect, increasing the damage of the whole squad. Furthermore, when the EX Special attack: Paper hits the enemies, it will inflict the Malicious Compliance effect on them, increasing their stun multiplier and extending the duration of the stun, and converts the next teammate's chain attack into an Ultimate.

Banyue is the second agent coming in the new update and is a Limited S-Rank Fire Rupture agent and a revered master of various martial arts who can chain different skills freely during combat. With sufficient adrenaline, he can alternate between using basic attacks, which are for light attacks, and the special attack for heavy attacks, creating different combos. Each skill has its own Special Cancel moment. If the inputs are timed correctly, your next attack can come out faster, creating a high skill gameplay that's highly rewarding for those who can master it. Additionally, Banyue can build up the special resource Wrathful Fire by consuming adrenaline, blocking or parrying the enemies. When Wrathful Fire is fully charged, holding the basic attack allows Banyue Shifu to activate the Visage of Wrath and enter the Four Armed-Vajra form. While in this state, holding his Special Attack button, he will unleash four different skills and finish it off with the special move Toppling Mountain, crushing enemies between massive boulders, dealing massive damage. However, while in this state, manually executing the special moves becomes easier than in the normal state, and grants Banyue a Vidyaraja stack, which further boosts his damage and grants him new abilities in his combo.

Alongside the two new agents, two new Bangboo are also coming. The S-Rank Birkblick will use a special sensor on its head to scan for enemies to attack. Bild N Boolok, which is also joining this update, is an A-Rank which will be available as a free reward for completing a limited-time event in 2.4.

As for the banners, Dailyn will be arriving on the first half of the update alongside the first rerun banner for the S-Rank Attack Ice agent Hugo. Banyue will be arriving in the latter half of the update alongside the other S-Rank Attack Ice agent Ellen, who will be making her first banner reappearance after her recent buffs in the 2.0 update.
