You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 Announced
Season 2 of the You and I Are Polar Opposites anime has officially been announced at today's AnimeJapan 2026 stage dedicated to the series. The second season begins on July 5.
Studio Lapin Track animated the first season of the adaptation, which concludes today, with Takakazu Nagatomo as the director. Teruko Utsumi was in charge of the series composition. Mako Miyako did the character designs, and Tofubeats composed the music. Pas Tasta and Eriko Hashimoto performed the ending theme song, "Pure," while Noa sang the opening "Megane wo Hazushite."
You and I Are Polar Opposites is adapting the manga by Kocha Agasawa, serialized on the Shonen Jump+ platform from 2022 to 2024. The manga has 65 chapters, compiled into eight volumes.
VIZ Media licensed the manga and describes the plot:
Suzuki’s a high school girl in love, but the guy she’s fallen for is nothing like her! While she’s cheerful, outgoing, and always trying to fit in, her classmate Yusuke Tani is stoic, quiet, and doesn’t seem to care what people think of him. Will Suzuki be able to overcome her anxieties and ask him out, or will she discover that opposites really don’t attract?
