Wandance Anime Unveils Trailer
The upcoming Wandance anime revealed the first trailer ahead of the October 2025 premiere date. The trailer features “Get Something Out of Your Mind” by Yaffle and Yujin Aramaki.
The Wandance trailers show off moves made using motion capture. Dancers who are taking part in the project are:
• KAITA as Kaboku Kotani
• KANATA as Hikari Wanda
• ReiNa as On Miyao
• YOUTEE as Iori Itsukushima
• YU-KI as Gaku Kabeya
As previously announced, studios MADHOUSE and Cyclone Graphics are animating with Michiya Kato as the director. Rie Hata, known for creating choreographies for performers such as BTS, TWICE, and Red Velvet, is credited as the dance producer. The main cast includes:
- Koki Uchiyama as Kaboku Kotani
- Hina Yomiya as Hikari Wanda
- Ayaka Suwa as On Miyao
- Toshiki Masuda as Iori Itsukushima
- Yuma Uchida as Gaku Kabeya
- Yuu Hayashi as Usen Takumi
- Chikahiro Kobayashi as Assei
The anime will adapt the Wandance (Wondance) manga by Coffee, serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine since 2019. Kodansha is also publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Kaboku Kotani is starting high school, and he plans to do what he’s always done: go along with his friends, keep quiet, and not to draw too much attention to himself. After all, it’s hard enough to get by with a stutter like his—why make things worse by standing out from the crowd? But then he sees another first-year, Hikari Wanda, dancing like no one is watching—or like she doesn’t care who sees her. It makes Kaboku wonder: Could he reach that same freedom? To find his way to Wanda, he does something he never thought he could: He joins the dance club. After all, every routine begins with a single step, right?
