Vtuber Sameko Saba Hits 1 Million Subs 3 Days After Debut Stream
Vtuber Sameko Saba officially made her highly anticipated debut on June 30, 2025, and has reached over one million subscribers in just three days. As of writing, her introduction livestream has over three million views.
Saba's VTuber character was first teased when she made her X (Twitter) account in January and her YouTube page in May. Her first video, titled "Saba Saba," featured a short and simple song with a blue fish. The tweet went viral, allowing Saba to reach over 100,000 followers and subscribers on X and YouTube within 8 hours of posting. After a few more teasers and her debut date reveal, her YouTube hit a milestone of 500,000 subscribers, with many fans joining the community membership as well. The debut stream reached 200,000 viewers at peak.
Following her debut, Saba's first merch drop also sold out within seconds. After two days and 17 hours, she officially set another milestone and the record as the fastest VTuber to reach one million subscribers on YouTube. The title was previously held by Hyakumantenbara Salome, who made the achievement within 13 days.
Sameko Saba's character design features long blonde hair, fuzzy animal ears, and a big blue fish tail. She also adorns a blue theme, with her bright blue eyes representing the ocean, blue highlights with red and white hair ties representing beach life rings, and ribbons like a sailor's uniform with boat emblems. Her personality is described as a cute and mischievous individual who forgets things and rambles.
This VTuber has also created a fun, wholesome, and exciting story for herself. Saba lives in a lighthouse by the ocean, making sure the light never goes out. She also loves collecting seashells. Her journey has always been in a rowboat, whether that is doing errands or just wanting to sail away into the sunset. Saba also has a small red crab as her companion and mascot. The crab is shown in her preview clips bringing her seashells, which represent all her fans.
