Umamusume: Cinderella Gray Sets World Premiere for October 4
The second cour of the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray anime will have a world premiere at Global Stage Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, on October 4, 2025, at 1:30 PM PT. The world premiere is happening ahead of the Japanese premiere, which is taking place on October 5.
Cygames Pictures is animating the newest installment in the Umamusume Pretty Derby franchise, with Yuki Ito and Takehiro Miura as the directors. The staff also includes Aki Kindaichi on the series composition, Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki as character designers, and Kenji Kawai as music composer.
Umamusume: Cinderella Gray follows Oguri Cap (center in the key visual above), a girl whose running style is quite unique and defies all previously set standards. She attends Kasamatsu Training Center Academy, a special school where horse girls learn how to race, and tries to hone her skills. The Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is adapting the manga of the same title by Taiyo Kusumi.
Tomoyo Takayanagi is voicing Oguri Cap. The cast also features Momoko Seto as Bellno Light, Naomi Ozora as Tamamo Cross, Mariya Ise as Fujimasa March, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Jo Kitahara. Along with the trailer, the anime also announced new cast additions:

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is a mixed-media franchise focused on horse racing girls and created by Cygames. It started with Umamusume Pretty Derby: Haru Urara Ganbaru! manga by Huan Yu (ZECO). Since then, the franchise has spawned multiple manga titles, games, and anime projects.
The anime is streaming on Prime Video. The platform describes the plot as:
Umamusume are racers who inherit the names and spirits of legendary racehorses from another world. Among them is Oguri Cap, a countryside-born Umamusume with an insatiable appetite! Unbeknownst to those around her, the potential of this ashen-haired “Beast” will soon propel her to the national stage and lead her down a legendary path.
