Tougen Anki Anime Unveils Cour 2 Information
Tougen Anki anime revealed a new key visual and trailer, alongside cast additions, earlier today. The currently ongoing anime also confirmed that it will continue in the Fall 2025 anime with a second cour, which will cover the "Nerima" and begin airing in October.
The trailer previews the new theme songs for the second cour, “AMIDAKUJI” by CHOGAKUSE (opening) and “ACTION” by eill (ending).
Joining the previously announced cast are:
- Atsushi Tamaru as Masumi Yodogawa (Oni Agency)
- Haruki Ishiya as Kaoru Namikido (Oni Agency)
- Shunichi Toki as Mikado Momodera (Momotaro Agency)
- Chiharu Sawashiro as Shinya Momoiwa (Momotaro Agency)
- Shintaro Asanuma as Tsukuyomi Momoka (Momotaro Agency)
- Yuki Ono as Osuke Momokado (Momotaro Agency)
The anime adapts the Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood manga by Yura Urushibara. The series is currently published in Akita Shonen's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine. Yen Press licensed it in English and describes the plot:
Shiki Ichinose's blood is Oni, and his father's is Momotarou. Normally, those with Momotarou blood hunt the Oni—but Shiki's father refused to kill him as an infant. Instead, he adopted Shiki and raised him despite the rebellious attitude and dangerous temper that come with Oni blood. When a member of the Momotarou Agency kills Shiki's father, Shiki vows to avenge him. But as he hones his abilities and learns to control his Oni blood, will he be strong enough to survive the dangers waiting for him…?
