The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess Unveils New Trailer, October 8 Premiere
The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess anime adaptation revealed a new visual, trailer, and an October 8 premiere date. The anime will host an advanced screening in Japan on September 7. Studio DEEN is animating the adaptation.
Opening theme song for the anime is "Black Flame" by KID PHENOMENON while the ending is "Regene" by Zerofrom. The previous trailer for the anime was revealed in March of this year.
Junichi Toki, Arthur Lounsbery, Atsushi Tamaru, and Tomoaki Maeno are joining the cast, which also includes:
- Yoshino Aoyama as Iana Magnolia
- Makoto Furukawa as Ginoford Dandelion
- M・A・O as Konoha Magnolia
- Shohei Komatsu as Sol Nemophila
Hiroaki Sakurai (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) is directing The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess anime with Mitsutaka Hirota (Tonbo!) on the series composition. Tomoyo Sawada is doing the character designs. Ryuichi Takada is composing the music.
Akiharu Toka's The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess manga has been serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa shojo manga magazine since 2018. Yen Press licensed it in English and describes the plot:
Konoha Satou has a dark history. After all, she spent her teen years writing self-indulgent fantasy romance fics-like her Dark History. But since she’s become its most despicable villainess, remembering every last detail is now a matter of life-and-death. Having avoided the first couple of death flags, Satou’s suddenly left in the dark when a mysterious stranger returns from the Lily Kingdom-a character she doesn’t recall writing in the original script. Although Yomi claims to be her ally, can Satou really trust a character she knows nothing about in such a dangerous world?
