Tenbin Anime Announced
The Tenkousaki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi datta Ken (The Beautiful and Pure Girl at My New School Is a Childhood Friend of Mine Who I Thought Was a Boy) is getting a TV anime adaptation in 2026. A teaser visual and trailer were released as part of the announcement, and the official Twitter/X account, under the @tenbin_anime username, was opened.
The teaser visual is based on a photo the original author, Hibariyu, took in Nara when they started writing the Tenbin light novel series. The original photo did not have the sunflowers.
Ikumi Hasegawa, known for roles such as Vladilena Milizé from 86: Eighty Six and Pop☆Step from My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, will be voicing the protagonist, Haruki Nikaido.
The light novel has been serialized under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint since 2021. It features illustrations by Shiso, who also drew an illustration to commemorate the anime announcement.
The series also has a manga adaptation by Kina Oyama, serialized in the Dra-Dra Flat♭ magazine. The Tenkousaki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi datta Ken hasn't been licensed in English.
