Suikoden Anime Unveils Trailer, October 2026 Premiere Date
The upcoming Suikoden anime revealed the first trailer and a teaser visual. The anime will premiere in October 2026. The anime will also have a stage at AnimeJapan 2026.
The cast list has been updated and now includes:
- Toshiki Kumagai as Riliu
- Shinba Tsuchiya as Jowy
- Ayumi Hinohara as Nanami
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Viktor
- Yuichi Nakamura as Flik
- Taku Yashiro as Luca Blight
- Chika Anzai as Jillia Blight
- Akihiro Mine as Rowd
- Tsukino Chikasada as Pilika
- Ayumu Murase as Luc
- Takeo Otsuka as Shu
- Yoshino Aoyama as Apple
- Masato Niwa as Mukumuku
Yuzo Sato (Muteking the Dancing Hero) is directing the upcoming Suikoden anime. The series was announced during a live stream in March. The anime will adapt the world of Suikoden II. Konami Animation is in charge of the animation for the series. NBC Universal Entertainment Japan and Konami Animation are in charge of the planning.
Suikoden II is the second installment in the series of role-playing video games, which started in 1995 with the release of Suikoden by Konami. The series was created by Yoshitaka Murayama,
Both Suikoden and Suikoden II (released in 1998) have light novel adaptations by Shinjiro Hori. Suikoden III (2002) was adapted into a manga by Aki Shimizu. The light novels were never licensed into English.
In addition to the anime, Suikoden is also getting a stage play adaptation of the first game and an orchestra performance.
