Spy x Family Season 3 Unveils Main Trailer, Opening Theme
SPY x FAMILY Season 3 revealed a trailer featuring the opening theme song "Actor" by Lilas Ikuta. The beloved anime returns on October 4 and will welcome new characters from the manga.
WIT Studio and CloverWorks are returning to animate the series. The staff includes:
- Director: Yukiko Imai
- Series Composition: Rino Yamazaki
- Character Designer / Chief Animation Director: Kazuaki Shimada
- Photography Director: Yuya Sakuma
- Art Director: Minami Usui
WIT Studio and CloverWorks also animated the first two seasons of the SPY x FAMILY anime. Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed the first season and was joined by Takahiro Harada for the second. An original movie, titled SPY x FAMILY Code: WHITE, premiered in December 2023. It was directed by Takashi Katagiri.
The anime is based on a manga by Tatsuya Endo, serialized on the Shonen Jump+ platform in Japan and published by VIZ Media/MANGA Plus in English. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
