Spy x Family Season 3 Reveals Opening by Shingo Natsume, Featuring Song by Spitz
SPY x FAMILY Season 3 revealed a non-credit version of the opening which was created by Shingo Natsume (Sonny Boy). The opening theme song is "Hikari wo Mamoru" by Japanese band Spitz. This is their first time performing for a TV anime.
The opening theme song will be released on October 6, two days after the third season of the SPY x FAMILY anime officially premieres. The ending theme song "Actor" by Lilas Ikuta was featured in the recently revealed trailer.
WIT Studio and CloverWorks are returning to animate the series. The staff includes:

- Character Designer / Chief Animation Director: Kazuaki Shimada
- Photography Director: Yuya Sakuma
- Art Director: Minami Usui
WIT Studio and CloverWorks also animated the first two seasons of the SPY x FAMILY anime. Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed the first season and was joined by Takahiro Harada for the second. An original movie, titled SPY x FAMILY Code: WHITE, premiered in December 2023. It was directed by Takashi Katagiri.
The anime is based on a manga by Tatsuya Endo, serialized on the Shonen Jump+ platform in Japan and published by VIZ Media/MANGA Plus in English. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
