Snow Miku Reveals 2026 Costume Design Winner

The winner of the 2026 Snow Miku & Yukine costume design contest has been officially announced. This contest is held annually to select a new design that is made into an official Goodsmile Nendoroid and featured at the annual Snow Festival in Hokkaido and in various merchandise options throughout the year.

This year's theme was "Happy Patisserie" and the contests had the task of combining sweet treats with a frosty theme. The deadline for these designs to be completed was March 10, and in the following months fans were able to vote for their favorites online. The winning entry of 2026 Snow Miku & Yukine contest was illustrated by an artist named cold_air and it features music and desserts:

The final count of different designs came in around 2000 and six were chosen as finalists. The first among them was by artist asa_mino and inspired by a "happy lavander"

The second, by yoi_mine, takes inspiration from Hokkaido's fresh cream:

Merunomeru's "rare cheesecake-topped-with-Hokkaido-blueberries" Miku ranked third:

OOHHYA's Snow Miku design was inspired by strawberries and dairy products of Hokkaido that make up the best roll cakes. Yukine is Miku's apprentice, tasked with decorating the cakes.

Moromoimaru was the last finalist and their Miku was inspired by iced cookies that are meant to bring happiness.

About Snow Miku and Yukine

Snow Miku is a character created for the Sapporo Snow Festival 2010. She has been serving as its main character since then and aims to bring more liveliness to Hokkaido event. Rabbit Yukine is Snow Miku's pet. It was brought to life in 2014 and has been participating in the Snow Miku costume design contests since 2015.
