Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform announced a new project, aimed at adapting one-shots to anime. WIT Studio, CONTRAIL, and Production I.G were announced as the first studios to produce one adaptation each, with details to be confirmed at a later date.

Shonen Jump+ platform is Shueisha's online magazine which has serialized titles such as Chainsaw Man (Part 2) and Spy x Family. The platform is known for publishing one-shots such as Tatsuki Fujimoto's Look Back (which was adapted into anime last year by DURIAN). Fujimoto's Goodbye, Eri was also published on Shonen Jump+, alongside Just Listen to the Song, illustrated by Oto Toda. To Strip the Flesh, also by Oto Toda, is another one-shot that debuted on the platform.

Other popular titles from the platform include The Deep Sea of Words by Magisuke, Pretty Guardian Stress by Tomotaka Miyaumi, and Spring Returns to Aoi's Room by Ireishi Ishikawa. In English, these titles are available on the MANGA Plus platform and through VIZ Media.

Look Back is the only Shonen Jump+ one-shot title that has been adapted into anime so far. The adaptation was directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama. Oshiyama also wrote the script, did the storyboards, and character designs. He is also credited as an animation director and a key animator for the movie.

Shonen Jump+ was launched on September 22, 2014, and operates as a free mobile app and a website that allows users to read manga in Japan. It hosts digital versions of manga from other Shueisha magazines while also publishing original content.
