Shabake Anime Unveils Key Visual, Trailer
The previously announced Shabake anime adaptation revealed a new trailer and a key visual earlier today. The anime will premiere on October 3, and in Japan, it will be broadcast as part of Fuji TV's Noitamina block. Bandai Namco Pictures is animating.
Takahiro Okawa is directing the anime with Toko Machida on the series composition. Akari Minagawa is in charge of the character designs. Rei Ishizuka is composing the music. Kujira is performing the opening theme song "Inochi no Parade," while KAFUNE is in cahrge of the ending theme song "Myakumyaku."
Shabake anime will adapt the novel series of the same name, written by Megumi Hatanaka with illustrations by Yu Shibata. The same publisher serialized the manga adaptation by Mimori in its Monthly Comic Bunch magazine (2017-2023).
The cast for the anime adaptation includes:
- Daiki Yamashita as Ichitaro
- Koji Okino as Nikichi
- Taku Yashiro as Sasuke
- Daisuke Namikawa as Nozoki Byobu
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Matsunosuke
In 2021, the series got an original short animation by studio Shuka. This ONA starred Junya Enoki, Koki Uchiyama, Azakami, and more. It was directed by Hideki Ito.
