Seven Seas Announces The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System Deluxe Box Set

After the success of hit danmei novel The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System: Ren Zha Fanpai Zijui Xitong, Seven Seas Entertainment has announced a limited-release deluxe hardcover box set for February 2026. The four-volume New York Times best-selling novel will have new covers and interior illustrations by star illustrator Xiao Tong Kong (Velinxi) and other guest artists.

The The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System set will be released as a collection, featuring translaton by Faelicy and Lily, with special embellishments, new hardcover foil illustrations, printed edges, a ribbon bookmark, and a beautifully illustrated slipcase. Extras include a mini artbook for the series and two new mini posters. Each box set will be numbered due to the limited release and will cost $129.99.

The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System was the first series written by Mo Xiang Tong Xi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation), published in English in December 2021 and adapted to an animated series, Scumbag System. The series quickly became a fan favourite along with Xiang Tong Xi's other works, such as Heaven Official's Blessing and Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.

The art for this deluxe box set release has not been revealed yet, but the Seven Seas website lists all of the volumes released so far. This is also not Mo Xiang Tong Xi's first release to get a box set edition: Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu was released in late 2024.

The deluxe edition of Heaven Official's Blessing included Special illustrations and art by Arisk_k, Za Nian, huaepiphany, ZeldaCW, and 日出的小太陽 (tai3_3). The edition featured a dust jacket featuring new art and foil lettering, a new foil illustration against linen-texture graining on the hardcover itself, elaborate printed edges, and a ribbon bookmark.
