SEGA Prepares for Upcoming Tokyo Opening with New Products and Exclusives

SEGA officially opened its first flagship retail store in Japan on July 18. SEGA Store Tokyo is located on the 6th floor of the popular Shibuya PARCO building. This SEGA store will offer fans a wide variety of exclusive merchandise from titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, and much more for all to enjoy and discover. This store is also following from the SEGA store that opened back in May 2025 in Shanghai.

The aim of the SEGA Store in Tokyo is to provide customers with an immersive experience by adding cutting-edge 3D holograms featuring various characters.

The store will mainly focus on SEGA game franchises, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona, Hatsune Miku, and Like a Dragon through merchandise of fan-favorite characters, gachapon machines, plushies, figures, and more.

SEGA is a Japanese video game company that was founded in 1960 by Martin Bromley and Richard Stewart. SEGA is known for a variety of multi-million game franchises for arcades and consoles, and from 1983 until 2001, they developed their own consoles, replicas of which can also be found in the store.

To celebrate this grand opening, SEGA will also be giving away free drinking cups with any purchase of 7,000 yen (est. $50) or more. White, black, silver, and gold are the colours given; however, they are given at random, and the gold colour is the rarest out of them all.

With all the merch out there, SEGA also offers exclusive merch just for this store:

Sonic The Hedgehog

• SEGA Cooro - small plushies that include six characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise with Sonic, Tails, Dr.Eggman, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow. These are part of the initial launch, so more may come out in the future.

• SONIC Home Series Mini Pouch - These are a practical buy as this can be used to hold cosmetics, pencils, brushes, and/or accessories.

• Acrylic Blocks - There are five designs available; the acrylic blocks show the cover art of some of the Sonic games.

Exclusive to the SEGA store:

• A special chrome-plated bear block figure shaped as Sonic from Medicom Toy, releasing the same time the store opens. These will be available in 100% and 400% sizes.

• Sonic the Hedgehog x Kosuke Kawamura SEGA Store Exclusive Toy. There are three designs to choose from, and these were designed by collage artist Kosuke Kawamura. These plushies focus on his collage techniques called 'Shredder art'

Yakuza/Like a Dragon

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a crime-drama series, and these merch items focus on the characters in it.

• SEGA Cooro - The three characters included are Kasuga Ichiban, Kiryu Kazuma, and Majima Goro.

• Metal Badge Collection Premium Select vol.1&2 - this will include a range of 20 metal badges featuring characters that appear in Yakuza/Like a Dragon. With this, you have a bit more variety in the character selection.

• T-shirts in collaboration with the company 'glamb' - glamb is a fashion brand that has designed three separate t-shirts for the celebration of the store opening.

• Acrylic Stands - 10 acrylic stands will be available in the store and will feature lines from 'Yakuza 0'.

• Figures - There will be 6 figures available, capturing the expression of each character as much as they can.

Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku

This popular song game will feature all your favourite characters for the game as well as your favourite VOCALOID. This section focuses on more of the stationary/practical merchandise items such as:

• Jet Stream Pen - 26 styles/designs available, each displaying one character from the game.

• Pin Badges - 26 illustration badges available for each character.

• Stickers - 26 character stickers

• T-shirts - six different types of t-shirts will be available featuring a large print at the front with each group featured in the game.

• Nesoberi Stuffed Toy - due to the store opening, SEGA will re-release 30 plushies from their Nesoberi line.

Love Berry Dress Up and Dance:

With Love Berry Dress Up and Dance celebrating their 20th anniversary, this fashion game will be collaborating with a popular Japanese doll, Licca-chan, and will be sold in the new SEGA store.

• Clear Cards - 12 different clear cards featuring Licca-chan in the Love Berry Dress up and Dance style

• Acrylic Mini Diorama Collection with six designs in different outfits and backgrounds.

• Badge collection - six different designs from the Love and Berry x Licca-chan collaboration.

• Witch Love and Berry x Licca-chan Clear File Set - six different designed clear files featuring the dolls with different backgrounds on each one.

• Doll sets - these sets feature the Licca-chan doll in the Love and Berry styled outfits, also including fashion magic cards.

Puyo Puyo:

Puyo Puyo is a classic tile-matching puzzle game with merchandise for your gaming experience.

• “Puyo Puyo” Desk Mat - a nice colourful addition to your game set. This will also allow you to protect your gaming surface as well as a cute addition.

• “Puyo Puyo” Acrylic Block - there are five blocks to collect and feature different cover arts from the games.

• “Puyo Puyo!! Quest” Can Badge Collection - 10 different types of badges will be sold, which feature characters from the mobile game 'Puyo Puyo Quest.'

• “Puyo Puyo!! Quest” Acrylic Mini Figure - Eight different designs to choose from.

• Puyo Puyo Nuquies - Six different plush toys with a fluffy textured fabric

SEGA Originals

These will also feature in the store with SEGA's own branded merchandise items

• Logo Plush - a lap-sized plush featuring SEGA's iconic logo.

• Small plush logo keyring - similar to the big logo plush, but as a keyring for travel.

• SEGA Embroidered jumper - two different types of jumpers are available, black and white, and featuring the SEGA logo on the front.

• SEGA eye mask - A soft eye mask with the SEGA logo on the front to wear while you sleep.

• SEGA Hardware Bright Arts Gallery - These items will include six different types of figures that replicate the classic gaming controls and machines SEGA previously produced. This collection will include various versions of the Mega Drive/Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast.

Persona 3 Reload:

• PalVerse Persona 3 Reload - Six different figures to collect featuring some characters of the game, such as Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Aigis. These figures are sold in blind boxes.

• Persona 3 Reload plush - 11 different plushies to choose from, they are keychains, so you can travel around with them. Featuring some characters from the game.

• Persona 3 Reload Badge Set- Set of four featuring Aigis and Metis.

• Persona 3 Reload Acrylic Stand - 1o types of acrylic stands are available featuring full body images of each character from the game.

• Persona 3 Reload Poster Set - set of 4 A3 posters featuring illustrations from the game

Persona 5 The Royal:

• Plush Keychain - The store will have 11 different character keychains to choose from.

• Acrylic Stand - 10 different stands with 10 different characters and poses.

• Acrylic Keychain - Features an illustration from the game, and because it has a carabiner keychain, it is easy to move and secure.

• Playing Cards - These cards are a recreation of the ones you see in the game so fans can immerse themselves in the game they enjoy. These can be used for games or can be just displayed.

• Clear File, Postcard, and Badge Set - This is a three-piece set that includes one file with the logo on it, a postcard with an illustration from the game, as well as the badge.

Metaphor: ReFantazio:

This is a fairly recent role-playing video game from SEGA.

• A4 Acrylic Panel Weekly Famitsu Collection - There are two available with two different illustrations

• A4 clear file - set of 2 featuring illustrations from the game visuals and fantasy novel

•  Character Fine Graph - A beautifully designed large-sized art print that is produced with “Chara Fine” printing technology.
