Sakamoto Days anime announced Season 2 at today's Jump Festa 2026 event. The announcement video teased the sequel as "COMING SOON." Check out the official teaser trailer for the second season:


Tomokazu Sugita, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Kouki Uchiyama, and Daisuke Namikawa were at the Sakamoto Days Jump Festa 2026 stage.

The first season of the Sakamoto Days anime aired in two cours: one in Winter and one in Summer 2025 anime season. Masaki Watanabe is directed the anime at studio TMS Entertainment, with Taku Kishimoto on the series composition. Yo Moriyama was credited for the character designs, and Yuto Suzuki was in charge of the screenplay.

  • Yasuhiro Mamiya / SungWon Cho as Boiled

The anime adapts Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days (stylized as SAKAMOTO DAYS) manga, which has been serialized since 2020 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. VIZ Media licensed the Sakamoto Days manga in English and the series is also available on Shueisha’s Manga PLUS platform. The plot is described as:
Taro Sakamoto was once a legendary hitman considered the greatest of all time. Bad guys feared him! Assassins revered him! But then one day he quit, got married, and had a baby. He’s now living the quiet life as the owner of a neighborhood store, but how long can Sakamoto enjoy his days of retirement before his past catches up to him?!
