Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Reveals Trailer, 2026 Premiere

The previously announced Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 revealed a teaser trailer, visual, and a 2026 premiere date. Studio NUT will be animating the sequel with Takayuki Yamamoto as the director.

Kenta Ihara is doing the series composition and scripts, while Yuji Hosogoe is in charge of the character designs. Hosogoe is also the chief animation director. Both worked on the first season, which was directed by Yutaka Uemura with Jun Shishido as the assistant director.

Director Yamamoto commented on the news:
I am extremely honored to be involved in the production of Saga of Tanya the Evil. We are currently working hard with the wonderful staff, so please wait a little longer!

The Saga of Tanya the Evil anime adapts the light novel of the same title, written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki. Enterbrain is serializing it. The first season of the anime was released in 2017 and was followed by the Saga of Tanya the Evil Movie in 2019.

The series, known as Youjo Senki, began as a web novel on the user-generated content website, Arcadia. It also has a manga adaptation with art by Chika Tojo, published in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
It is June of the year CE 1923. A young girl with blond hair and blue eyes, Tanya Degurechaff, has entered the final curriculum of the Imperial Military Academy and is training at the third patrol line in the northern military district, the Norden Theater, as part of her service to the force. Her training, the first step toward a brilliant career as an aviation mage, should have gone off without a hitch... but things took an unexpected turn.

The anime is also a part of the Isekai Quartet universe.
