Ruri Rocks Anime Reveals Trailer, July 6 Premiere Date
The upcoming Ruri Rocks anime revealed a new trailer featuring the theme songs and a July 6 premiere date. Rei Yasuda is performing the opening theme "Hikari no Sumika," and Hana Hope is singing the ending, titled "Sapphire." Studio Bind (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) is animating the series.
The main cast includes:
- Miyari Nemoto as Ruri Tanigawa
- Asami Seto as Nagi Arato
- Yume Miyamoto as Yoko Imari
- Saki Hayashi as Shoko Seto
- Misuzu Yamada as Aoi Kasamaru
Shingo Fujii is directing the Ruri Rocks (Ruri no Hoseki) anime, with series composition by Michiko Yokote. Mayu Fujii is in charge of the character designs. Daisuke Achiwa and Kazyuki Yanagawa are composing the music.
The anime will adapt the Ruri no Hoseki manga by Keiichiro Shibuya, and serialized in Enterbrain's Harta magazine since 2019. Shibuya studied mineralogy.
The plot follows Ruri, a high schooler with an interest in jewelry and mineralogy. As her interest grows, she meets Nagi, a graduate student of mineralogy with similar interests. Together, they set out to collect rocks. The manga has not been licensed in English.
