Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend Unveils Trailer, October 16 Premiere
The Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend movie will premiere on October 16 in Japan, as revealed at the AnimeJapan 2026 stage dedicated to the series. A trailer was also revealed:
The movie was announced in September 2025, and it follows the previous installment of the series, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus. Soichi Masui directed the anime at studio CloverWorks, with Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition. Satomi Tamura was the character designer, and fox capture plan was in charge of the music.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai) is a Japanese light novel series written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi. The serialization began in April 2014 under the Dengeki Bunko light novel imprint and ended in 2024. The series has a manga adaptation by various artists.
The Rascal Does Not Dream anime began with a 13-episode TV anime adaptation by studio CloverWorks. The first season of the TV anime was followed by three sequel movies:
