Pandora Hearts Gets Stage Musical Adaptation
Pandora Hearts manga will be adapted into a stage musical running from November 7-16, 2025, in Theater H in Tokyo. Akira Yamazaki (HUNTERxHUNTER) will be directing and writing the screenplay, with Ako Takahashi on lyrics, and Harumi Fuuki will be composing the music.

Original author Jun Mochizuki drew a special illustration to celebrate the announcement:

Pandora Hearts is a manga written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki and serialized in Square Enix's GFantasy magazine from 2006 to 2015. In addition to the main manga, the series also has the Pandora Hearts: Caucus Race light novel (three volumes, 2011-2013) and a one-shot manga titled Pandora Hearts: Gilbert in Wonderland, released in 2010.
The Pandora Hearts manga also got an anime adaptation by studio XEBEC. It premiered in Spring 2009 and aired for 25 episodes. The anime had an original ending that deviated from the manga. XEBEC went defunct in 2019.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English as PandoraHearts. The whole series, 24 volumes, has been released in English. The publisher describes the plot:
The air of celebration surrounding fifteen-year-old Oz Vessalius's coming-of-age ceremony quickly turns to horror when he is condemned for a sin about which he knows nothing. He is thrown into an eternal, inescapable prison known as the Abyss from which there is no escape. There, he meets a young girl named Alice, who is not what she seems. Now that the relentless cogs of fate have begun to turn, do they lead only to crushing despair for Oz, or is there some shred of hope for him to grasp on to?
