Operation: Reclaim Christmas Eve Now Live in Kaiju No. 8 The Game

A new update for the Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, including Main Story Chapter 6 Operation: Reclaim Christmas Eve, is now live. The update also brings new Defence Force missions, original holiday story beats, and cross-division action set along Tokyo Bay.

There is also a new seasonal 5-star pickup, Japan's Strongest Santa, Gen Narumi, giving fans a limited-time version of the First Division Captain.

Lastly, players are able to earn up to 1,500 Dimensional Crystals through the new chapter and Score Battles, plus 10 Pickup Gacha Tickets via the login bonus campaign that started on December 1, 2025.

As part of this section of the Main Story, one of the Defence Force's public relations activities will include an annual Christmas event that helps deliver presents to children. This tradition was started by the First Division and has been held since before former Director General Shinomiya became its Captain.

In this story, players will be able to see characters dress up and spend joyful time together. However, in the world of Kaiju No.8 something is always happening, so it is no surprise when a Dimensional Gate suddenly emerges along the coast of Tokyo Bay. The first Defence Force will jump into action with the Third Division rushes in to give their support.

With all this chaos that emerges, Kikoru finds herself troubled by this mission, remembering things from Christmas long ago. A holiday she is meant to spend with her parents, a night filled with broken promises that still lingers in her heart.
