One-Punch Man Season 3 Unveils Key Visual, Director, New CM

One-Punch Man Season 3 revealed a key visual, short commercial, and the long-anticipated director's name. Shinpei Nagai is directing the anime at the studio J.C.Staff.

The new CM showcases recently announced opening theme song by JAM Project and BABYMETAL.

Season 3 of One-Punch Man begins brodcasting on October 5. The staff also includes:

• Series Composition: Tomohiro Suzuki
• Character Design: Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, Ryosuke Shirakawa
• Music: Makoto Miyazaki

Director Nagai, whose most recent directorial credit was assistant director for Fantasia Sango: Realm of Legends anime, posted on his Twitter/X, explaining why it took so long to reveal a director for One-Punch Man Season 3.

J.C. Staff also animated the second season of the TV anime, which was directed by Chikara Sakurai, but it was MADHOUSE that did the first with Shingo Natsume as the director. The anime is adapting the One-Punch Man manga written by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot of the first season as:
Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside
Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association.
However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
