Oblivion Battery Season 2 Reveals Teaser Visual, 2027 Premiere

Previously announced Season 2 of the Oblivion Battery anime revealed a teaser visual and a 2027 premiere date at today's Jump Festa 2026 panel. Toshiki Masuda, Mamoru Miyano, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Yohei Azagami, and Yuki Kaji presented the information at Jump Studio Stage.

The first season of Oblivion Battery anime was directed by Masato Nakazono with Tsuyoshi Iida as assistant director. Michiko Yokote was in charge of the series composition, and Hitomi Hasegawa did the character designs. Tomoki Kikuya and Hiroko Yamasaki composed the music. The anime premiered in the Spring of 2024 and aired for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming it and describes the plot as:

Star pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and skilled catcher Kei Kaname were an unstoppable duo—until Kei was hit with a curveball: amnesia. Now they have a second chance to play at a no-name high school with a team of past rivals. Can they overcome Kei’s memory loss and rekindle their baseball dreams? The anime is adapting the currently ongoing manga by Eko Mikawa. The Oblivion Battery manga is being serialized on the Shounen Jump+ platform. A total of 19 volumes have been published so far.
