Novelous has announced that voting is now available for the ten finalists in the My Anime List x Honeyfeed Writing Contest. One winner each from the "Love Transcends Boundaries" and "The End is Now" prompt categories will receive $3,000.

Additionally, one winner with the most votes from official event judges will receive another $3,000. Voting ends July 24, with winners to be announced August 4. Votes are only eligible in North America and can be cast on the contest website.

Honeyfeed is a web novel platform owned and operated by Qdopp, a multimedia brand that serves the news website Honey's Anime. Qdopp also offers literary agency management for its web novelists via the Hivemind sub-brand.

Novelous is a mobile app produced by Japanese publisher Shogakukan for English-translated light novels and manga. It was released in January 2025 for the United States and Canada; as reported by Anime News Network, Shogakukan intends to have 1 million users on the app by 2027.

Novelous has caused some controversy due to its usage of AI-assisted translation for manga and light novels. The AI engine, Mantra, received a combined USD$5 million in investment from Shueisha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa, and Square Enix Holdings in June 2024.
