New Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Anime to Stream on Prime Video
The new Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt anime revealed a new trailer, key visual, and Prime Video streaming plans. The anime premieres on July 9, with a world premiere at Anime Expo on July 4, 2025, at 8:30 PM at Peacock Theater.
Hiroyuki Imaishi, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Shigeto Koyama will be in attendance and will also host a live-drawing session on July 5, 2025, at 6:30 PM in room 408AB. The world premiere will feature a censored version and will have a rerun on July 5, 2025, at 4:15 PM in room 402AB, but without guests.
The previous trailer introduced two new characters, Polyester and Polyurethane, voiced by Junya Enoki and Yuto Uemura.
The anime, initially announced at Anime Expo 2022, will be animated by studio TRIGGER. The staff includes:

The cast is mainly returning from the original series and includes:

- Takashi Nakamura as Chuck
- Yuka Komatsu as Scanty
- Yuko Natsuyoshi as Fastener (replacing Miki Makiguchi)
- Akeno Watanabe as Kneesocks (replacing Ayumi Fujimura)
The new anime project was announced over 12 years after the original 13-episode anime premiered in 2010. The series was created by Hiroyuki Imaishi and produced by Gainax. Imaishi started Studio Trigger in 2011.
The anime has a cult following and is well known for its crude language and humor. In addition to Imaishi, the staff also included Masahiko Otsuka as the assistant director, Atsushi Nishigori as main character designer, and Yo Yoshinari provided concept art. Takahashi Taku composed the music with TCY Crew.
In Daten City, a realm between heaven and hell, sinister spirits known as “Ghosts” prowl the streets, feeding on human desires and resentment. Yet, in the darkest moments, two figures emerge to obliterate these vengeful beings with a divine light beyond human understanding. Their names? Panty & Stocking! These fallen angel sisters have been tasked with purging the darkness engulfing the earth. But who are they, really? Are they truly messengers of God… or agents of the Devil?
