New Lupin the Third Movie Gets Prequel Anime
The upcoming LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE The Immortal Bloodline (Fujimi no Ketsuzoku) is getting a prequel anime, titled Zenigata to Futari no Lupin (Zenigata and the Two Lupins). The new anime will be streaming on WOWOW on June 20 in Japan. Teaser visual and stills have been revealed.
Telecom Animation Film is animating the Zenigata to Futari no Lupin anime, and TMS Entertainment is producing. The staff is the same as The Immortal Bloodline movie, which is slated to premiere on June 27, and includes:
- Director: Takeshi Koike
- Script: Yuya Takahashi
- Music: James Shimoji
- Creative Advisor: Katsuhito Ishii
Similarly, the cast is also the same:
- Kanichi Kurita as Lupin III
- Akio Otsuka as Daisuke Jigen
- Koichi Yamadera as Inspector Zenigata
- Daisuke Namikawa as Goemon Ishikawa
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine

The Lupin the Third franchise is based on a manga by Monkey Punch. It ran from 1967 to 1972 and has spawned multiple spin-offs, side stories, anime, and movie adaptations. The most recent installment was the Lupin Zero anime movie.
