New Evangelion Anime Project by Khara and CloverWorks Announced
The infamous Evangelion anime series is getting a new project animated by studio khara and CloverWorks. Yoko Taro (NieR) will be in charge of the script and series composition, while Kazuya Tsurumaki and Toru Yatabe are directing. Keiichi Okabe is composing the music.
The new Evangelion anime project was announced during a special program celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series, titled EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is an original anime series created by Gainax and directed by Hideaki Anno. Gainax and Tatsunoko Production animated the original series, which debuted in October 1995 and ended in March 1996. In 1997, Gainax released The End of Evangelion, meant as an alternative ending. The franchise also has a series of four films produced by Anno's khara, titled Rebuild of Evangelion, retelling the events of the series with different plot elements and a new ending.
The final movie was titled EVANGELION: 3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME and released in 2021.
