Needy Girl Overdose Announces Manga, New Visual Featuring Kache

The upcoming NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE anime adaptation revealed a new key visual featuring Kache (voiced by Anna Nagase) at today's AnimeJapan 2026 event. The premiere date has been set for April 4.

In addition to the visual, a four-panel (4-koma) manga, Needy Girl Plus, announced serialization. New chapters will be released every Sunday at 5:00 PM JST. Kokamumo, who did the illustrations and animation materials for some of the anime's original songs, will be in charge of the art.

The anime will feature multiple characters, split into units:

OMGkawaiiAngel is performing the opening theme, titled "Internet Angel," written and composed by Aiobahn +81. Tatsuya Kitani is singing the ending theme song, "Levitation."

Yostar Pictures is animating the adaptation of a visual novel developed by Xemono and published by WSS Playground. The NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE anime anime staff includes

Although credited for the original plan and supervision, Nyalra announced that he is not taking part in the NEEDY GIRL OVEDOSE anime promotion, citing issues with publisher WSS Playground. Nyalra claims that the company withheld wages and had engaged in power harassment. The publisher denied these allegations.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime and describes the plot as:
In a world where likes are currency and every viewer is a judge, OMGkawaiiAngel—also known as KAngel—is determined to become the ultimate “Internet Angel.” Yet beneath her pastel smile and lively streams, there’s more than meets the eye.

The anime is having a theatrical screening run, NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE -OVERTURE, in Japan.

The visual novel is known as Needy Streamer Overload in the West. It was originally published in 2022 and is currently available on Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
