Moriarty the Patriot Reveals New Commercial For Upcoming Musical

Moriarty the Patriot musical revealed the cast for the A Study In "S" Reprise play, slated to run from June 27 to July 19, 2026, at the Tennozu Galaxy Theater in Tokyo. The main cast will see Shogo Suzuki and Ryo Hirano return as William James Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes, but the remaining cast will be played by two teams.

The first musical in the series premiered in 2019 and was followed by A Scandal in British Empire (2020), The Phantom of Whitechapel (2021), The Two Criminals (2023), and The Final Problem (2024). In 2025, the A Scandal in British Empire Reprise debuted with the same main cast.

Moriarty the Patriot is based on a manga by Hikaru Miyoshi. The manga received an anime adaptation by Production I.G in Fall 2020. It ran for 11 episodes and received a 13-episode sequel in 2021. A two-episode OVA followed in 2022.
