Medalist Season 2 Unveils Teaser Trailer, January 2026 Release Date

The previously announced Medalist Season 2 revealed a new trailer and a teaser visual. The sequel is slated to premiere in January 2026.

Studio ENGI is animating the sequel, with Yasutaka Yamamoto returning as the director.

Ikada Tsuruma is writing the original Medalist manga, serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine since 2020. Kodansha US licensed the series in English and has so far published 11 volumes. 10 of them in print. The 12th volume of the manga was released in Japan this January.

Disney is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
Tsukasa Akeuraji, a frustrated skater, meets a girl called Inori Yuitsuka, who is yearning to enter the world of figure skating. Motivated by Inori's obsession on the rink, Tsukasa takes on coaching Inori himself. Inori's talent blossoms, and Tsukasa becomes a brilliant mentor. Together they aim to make her a glorious medalist!
