Let's Go Karaoke And Captivated, by You Announce Air Dates
The Let's Go Karaoke! anime has announced a premiere date of July 24. Additionally, the anime adaptation of Captivated, by You will begin airing on August 21.
The adaptations Yama Wayama's manga titles will be directed by Asami Nakatani at studio Doga Kobo. Series composition for both anime will be handled by Yoshimi Narita, with music by Takuro Iga.
Let's Go Karaoke!
Let's Go Karaoke! is an adaptation of the manga by Yama Wayama. First released as a doujinshi (self-published book) in 2019, the title was met with popular success, completely selling out at COMITIA 2019 and subsequent re-releases. The title was acquired by Enterbrain in 2020 and released as a physical book, with an English licensed version available via Yen Press in 2022.
Let's Go Karaoke! was also adapted to live-action in 2023, in a musical comedy film directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita, starring Jun Saito as Satomi Oka and Go Ayano as Kyouji Narita. The film won the Audience Award at the Camera Japan Festival 2024.

Nothing worries Satomi Oka more than the upcoming final choir competition of his middle school career – right up until he is accosted by a stranger from the shadows who demands, “Let’s go karaoke!” As a yakuza, Kyouji Narita doesn’t scare easily, but a terrifying prospect has driven him to seek Satomi’s help. The boss is holding a karaoke contest, with the loser forced to get a tattoo to be selected and torturously applied by the boss himself! Oka has been to many vocal rehearsals over the years, but never one-on-one karaoke sessions with a gangster!!
Captivated, by You
Captivated, by You also received a television drama that aired on MBS TV and TV Kanagawa in 2021, directed by Ayuko Tsukuhara, Eiji Takano, and Moeka Miyazaki. Scripts were written by Kohei Kiyasu and Manato Hamada. Ryusei Onishi from J-Pop band Naniwa Danshi starred as Miyoshi Hayashi, with Fumiya Takahashi playing Akira Nikaido.
