Kingdom Announces Fifth Live-Action Movie

The live-action movie series based on Yasuhisa Hara's Kingdom manga is getting a new, fifth installment. The new movie is slated to premiere in the summer of 2026 and has revealed a teaser visual.

The first movie in the series was released in 2019. It was followed by Kingdom: Far and Away in 2022, Kingdom: The Flame of Destiny in 2023, and Kingdom: Return of the Great General, which premiered in July 2024.

Yashuhisa Hara's Kingdom manga has been serialized since January 2006 and as of December 2024, it had over 110 million copies in circulation. In 2013 it also won the Grand Prize of the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize content. VIZ Media announced plans to license it in English earlier this year with the first volume set for this fall. In addition to the live-action series, the Kingdom manga also has a TV anime adaptation which recently announced a sixth season.
