Kaiju No. 8 Shows Off Ending Theme Song in New Trailer
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 revealed a new trailer, titled "The Will Lives On" earlier today, showcasing the ending theme song “Beautiful Colors” by OneRepublic. The same band performed the ending theme song for the first season, "Nobody." Kotono Mitsuishi is joining the cast as Hikari Shinomiya. The anime will premiere on July 19.
As previously announced, Aurora is performing the opening theme song "You Can't Run From Yourself." Production I.G is animating the sequel and the staff of the second season of Kaiju No. 8 includes:

Kaiju No. 8 is based on a manga by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website since July 2020. An anime adaptation by Production I.G. aired in April 2023, while a second anime season is expected to premiere in 2025. Crunchyroll streams the anime and describes the plot:
In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
