Kaiju No. 8 Reveals Season 2 Key Visual, July 19 Premiere Date; Introduces Game Original Character
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 revealed a key visual and July 19 premiere date. Production I.G is returning to animate the sequel, which will once again stream on X/Twitter in real time and on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.
The Hoshina's Day Off special, which was included with the recap movie of the first season, will have its first terrestrial broadcast, as well as a stream on Twitter/X on July 5. The new information was revealed during an event at the Yokohama Kannai Hall earlier today. The staff of the second season of Kaiju No. 8 anime includes:

Kaiju No. 8: The Game
In addition to the anime updates, the upcoming Kaiju No. 8 game revealed details about the original character who will be appearing. The character in question is Kikoru Shinomiya's adopted sister, who joined the US Defense Force. Akari Kito will be voicing her.
About Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 is based on a manga by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website since July 2020. An anime adaptation by Production I.G. aired in April 2023, while a second anime season is expected to premiere in 2025. Crunchyroll streams the anime and describes the plot:
In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
