Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution Unveils Trailer Ahead of the December 5 Premiere in North America
The Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution movie revealed an official trailer ahead of the December 5 premiere in North America. The movie is a compilation of the "Shibuya Incident" arc and the first episodes of the third season, which will cover the "Culling Game" arc. Global release dates are coming soon. GKIDS describes the plot of the movie as:

"The Cursed Two," bound by a shared mentor, ignite one of the most iconic and ferocious battles from the original manga, soon to be brought vividly to life on screen.
This marks the first encounter between the two protagonists, leading to an epic clash of cursed energies.
An extraordinary story centered around curses is once again set in motion on the big screen.
The first cour of the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will premiere in January 2026. Studio MAPPA is returning to animate. The staff includes:
- Director: Shota Goshozono
- Series Composition: Hiroshi Seko
- Character Design: Hiromi Niwa, Yosuke Yajima
- Music: Yoshimasa Terui
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime premiered in the Fall 2020 anime season and ran for 24 episodes. It was followed by a prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in 2021. The second season aired in 2023, covering the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" and "Shibuya Incident" arcs. The "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" arc was also turned into a compilation movie, which was recently released in theatres.
The anime adapts manga by Gege Akutami, which was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 2018 to 2024. It was compiled into 30 volumes. VIZ Media licensed the series in English. A spin-off story, titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, recently began serialization.
Crunchyroll streams the anime outside Japan and describes the plot as follows:
Yuji Itadori eats a cursed finger to save a classmate, and now Ryomen Sukuna, a powerfully evil sorcerer known as the King of Curses, lives in Itadori’s soul. Curses are supernatural terrors created from negative human emotions. This cursed energy can be used as a power source by jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits alike.
