Hikari Shinomiya Joins Kaiju No. 8 Game With a New Original Story
The new Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME update will expand the universe with a new update featuring exclusive story content created specifically for the game, looking further into Hikari’s legacy as Captain of the Japanese Defence Force’s Second Division and her mastery wielding Kaiju No. 4's weapon. In addition to learning about Hikari, the players will also get a glimpse of the Shinomiya family's unspoken history, primarily Isao and Kikoru.

Hikari is Kikoru Shinomiya's mother. With her numbered weapon, she has the rare ability of flight and is a fearless warrior who boasts an unparalleled number of takedowns among all captains recorded in history.

Before activating her Ultimate, she gains Acceleration, which increases her damage and speed. With this, she is also able to activate her Combat Skill against a Core Exposed Kaiju, she gets SP +1. However, while in the Acceleration state, her Normal Attack, Combat Skill, and Follow-Up Skill cannot recover Ultimate Gauge. With this unique power, Hikari excels as an attacker with the balance of high mobility and high damage output, leading her and other Defence Force members to victory.
Hikari takes center stage in the debut event as the game's first 5-star Wind Attacker, Time of Radiant Splendor, available now for a limited time. In addition to Hikari, players are also able to obtain her 5-star spear.
