Gundam Brings New Announcements at SDCC

Gundam revealed new announcements regarding three series from the franchise at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. presented the information during the panel event "GUNDAM Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing."

In addition to Gundam Wing, the titles also include Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe.

Gundam Wing is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and as the star of the SDCC panel, it got the most announcements. They include:

Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary illustration inspired by the classic artwork was revealed.
Commemorative video titled “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing – Operation 30th –” directed by Toru Iwasawa, is now available on GundamInfo, the official Gundam YouTube channel.
Gundam Wing illustrator Sakura Asagi and screenwriter Katsuyuki Sumisawa teamed up for a new manga series commemorating the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing that bridges the gap between Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop, with chapter 1 available to read. The manga is titled MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM WING 0.5 POINT HALF PREVERNTER-7.
A theatrical re-release of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz will arrive in Japanese and American theaters.

Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new project. Series director Tatsuyuki Nagai is returning with a special compilation of the series’ spin-off title Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt -Path of the Little Challenger- will be released in theaters in Japan on Friday, October 31. The film is a re-edited version of all 12 episodes originally distributed via the Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans G smartphone app, compiled into a theatrical format. The film is also planned for release in North America.

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe movie recently revealed a trailer and is set for a winter 2026 release date. The movie will also screen in North America.
