Genshin Impact Version 5.8 Brings New Permanent Area, Nod-Krai Sneak Peek, Lore, Reactions

Genhsin Impact Version 5.8 special program just concluded, introducing exciting new details about the upcoming patch. In addition to the yearly summer event, which is titled "Sunspray Summer Resort" focusing on Bennett and which will be set in the western part of Natlan and a permanent addition to the map, the new version will also introduce "Song of the Welkin Moon Prelude: The Journey Home" quest, focusing on Ineffa.

Bennett's appearance in Natlan will be alongside Venti and Natlan regulars such as Xilonen, Maluani, Chasca, and more. Bennett's quest will also be a permanent addition to the game, but will grant additional rewards if you complete it within a specified time limit. Although the resort map addition is a permanent one, there will be a limited-time event that will grant players Bennett's new outfit for free.

A first look at Mare Jivari is coming in Version 5.8. Players will be able to explore a small part of the region and will be able to obtain a new sword from Citlali to fight one of Gold's creations. As theorized, Bennett appears to have a connection with Mare Jivari.

The first banner of the update will feature Ineffa and Citlali. Ineffa is an electro character who is bringing a cute robot assistant named Birgitta and a new reaction: Lunar-Charged. Unlike the traditional Hydro-Electro reaction, the Lunar-Charged reaction deals damage that can crit. The second banner of the update will feature Chasca and Mualani.

In addition to Bennett, Yelan is also getting a new outfit. Yelan is investigating a money laundering case, which will lead her to Nod-Krai.

Earlier this month, Genshin Impact revealed another Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser, introducing the four shades and revealing the identity of the mysterious god who separated Traveler from their twin:

An Endless Adventure in Teyvat art exhibit was also announced for September 12-21, 2025, in Paris, France, alongside a HoyoFEST event in Southeast Asia, which will feature an artist alley for the first time.
